Boniface Madubunyi chairs and serves on the Board of Directors of various related companies of the Mabon Group including Magellan Exploration & Production Holdings, Inc., Mabon Energy, Mabon Geosciences Limited, Mabon Microfinance Bank Ltd., Santa Coast Corporation, Kingdom Holdings, Kenrose Nigeria Limited, and Mabon Estate Ltd. He is also the Chairman of the Madubunyi Foundation (an NGO dedicated to Medicine & Education).
An internationally acclaimed seasoned Engineer and Entrepreneur of world repute with well over 40 years experience in the Oil & Gas, Power & Electricity industries, Mr. Madubunyi has executed many multi-million dollar projects in various parts of the world including the Gulf of Guinea, Sao Tome & Principe, the United States of America, the United Kingdom, and Nigeria.
His academic history includes studies at the University of London and the University of Manchester, where he was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. Boniface was an Associate Member at the Institute of Electrical Engineers, England (AMIEE) and a Member of the Osborne Reynolds Society of the University of Manchester, England.
Raymond LaGarde was a founder and President of GFI Oil & Gas Corporation (GFI), a successful international exploration and production company registered on the Toronto Venture Stock Exchange with oil and gas fields in Indonesia and Thailand. GFI was acquired in 2008 by Salamander Energy (a London Stock Exchange listed company).
During his 30+ year career he has been employed by several well known international oil and gas companies including Conoco Inc., Union Texas Petroleum, Burlington Resources, and Anadarko Petroleum. His international experience includes establishment of exploration subsidiaries in Azerbaijan, Nigeria, Gabon, and Holland. He is a past chairman of the AAPL Outer Continental Shelf Committee, a past member of the American Petroleum Institute OCS Committee, and the former Chairman of the API Task Force established by industry for supporting the opening the 1002 Area of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge to responsible exploration. He was a founding board member of the Houston Russian American Chamber of Commerce. He holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration and a Juris Doctor Degree from Louisiana State University.
Richard worked as a Financial Analyst Trainee for Goldman Sachs in London before joining BSkyB Corporation as Capital Expenditure Financial Analyst and then in Programming Financial Analyst. Later he was Director of Investments and Planning for Mabon Limited focusing on Energy, Finance and Property portfolios. At Magellan, he is responsible for planning and directing of all accounting operational functions, managing the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for financial statements, evaluating accounting and internal control systems, and managing departmental staff. He was nominated by independent Houston Business Journal for Best CFO to honour outstanding performance as CFO in 2012. It honors the outstanding performance of Houston-area CFOs in their roles as corporate financial stewards.
Richard holds a Masters degree in Finance from the Imperial College Tanaka Business School, London, a Masters in Advanced Chemical Engineering from the Imperial College of Science and Technology, London, a Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering from the University of Leeds, and a Certificate of Business Accounting from the UK Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, and is an Associate Member of both the Institution of Chemical Engineering and Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. Richard has over 14 years work experience in the finance and energy sector.
Gene Manson, consulting petroleum engineer, offers over 40 years of experience in managing oil and gas exploration and production projects. After graduating from Ohio State University Gene joined Union Oil Company of California and forged a firm professional foundation working in the South Louisiana and South Texas oil provinces.
After thirteen years with Unocal he became the regional production manager for C&K Petroleum focused mainly in the Gulf of Mexico and South Louisiana. When fourteen years later Enstar took over C&K Gene was Vice President of exploration and production for that company’ Gulf Coast Region. Joining Chambers Oil and Gas Company he was Vice President of Exploration and Production with emphasis on Gulf of Mexico projects. Later, focusing on oil and gas projects offshore West Africa, he served as President of Allied Energy Corporation, Managing Director of Tuskor Resources PLC., and was Senior Vice President and Member of the Executive Committee of Camac Holdings Inc.
Geological and Geophysical Consultant
Gordon Marney, consulting geologist, brings over forty years experience in the oil and gas industry in evaluating, executing, and managing oil and gas exploration and development projects. He has extensive academic and professional training in the geology, petrophysics, and geophysics. Gordon began his career at Amoco Canada before moving on to the Amoco international department. He has been a consulting geologist for several oil and gas clients including Sofrgaz US Inc., where for seven years he performed economic and technical feasibility analysis for natural gas capital investment projects.
More recently Gordon has been heavily involved with domestic and international 3D seismic interpretation, prospect generation and evaluation. He employs a wide array of proprietary and commercial rock properties, and seismic modeling software for conventional AVO analysis. Other clients he has served include Sanchez Oil and Gas Corporation, International Gas Consulting, Inc., Total Petroleum North American, Energy Reserves Group, and Camac International. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Calgary and a Masters degree in business administration from the University of Houston.

Debessai, Assistant to the Chairman, has 26 years of experience in Accounting, Auditing, Banking, and Marketing in Africa, Canada, and the U.S. He is an Accounting graduate of Asmara University Asmara Eritrea (formerly Ethiopia), a Business Administration graduate from the University of Delhi in India, and attended the Masters of Commerce at Bhopal University, (Barkatullah Vishwa Nath University) in Bhopal, India.
Mebrahto worked as a Banker at the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia in various positions before becoming an Import and Export Document Verifyer. He was also an Accountant and Internal Auditor in different companies in Canada and the United States. For 8 years he also worked for Foley’s (now Macy’s) as a Selling Manager in Houston, Texas.
